Founders: Alexandr Delgashev & Anna Delgasheva

Victory Chess Club is a not-for-profit organization founded by Alexandr and Anna, a husband-and-wife team from Etobicoke. As parents of six children and passionate chess players, they started the club to give local kids a place to learn, compete, and grow through the game of chess.

What We Do

Victory Chess Club offers:

Biweekly CFC-rated in-person tournaments for players under 18
A welcoming, inclusive space for young chess players

Why We Started the Club

We saw how much our own children gained from playing chess—focus, confidence, and discipline—and wanted to create that opportunity for others too. That’s why we keep our events affordable, family-friendly, and open to all skill levels.
