Free Youth Chess Community Tournament Series

Victory Chess Club is planning four free two-day youth chess tournaments for children and families.

Each tournament will welcome 40 young players. Across the full series, we expect to provide 160 free player-spots.

Our goal is to make organized chess tournaments easier for families to access. Tournament fees can add up quickly, especially when more than one child wants to play. By removing the registration fee, we can give more children the chance to compete, meet other players, and be part of a positive chess community.

These are not chess lessons. They are well-organized youth tournaments where children can test their skills, build confidence, practice sportsmanship, and learn how to handle wins and losses respectfully.

Community support will help cover the direct costs of running the events, including chess sets, boards, clocks, score sheets, registration support, CFC rating fees, player hospitality, and take-home magnetic chess sets for participants.

We want every child to feel welcome, not only the children who win trophies. That is why this project focuses on free participation and meaningful recognition for all players.

Victory Chess Club is an Ontario not-for-profit organization that organizes youth chess tournaments with a focus on accessibility, fairness, and positive tournament experiences.
